Group Therapy for Chicago Educators

Lead by Erinn McKune, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and former CPS staff.

Join Erinn (McKune) Donohue for a four part Educator Support Group series this fall. This support group is open to all Chicago Public Schools staff and is an opportunity for educators to receive mental and emotional support in a small, therapeutic setting. Participants can expect to increase the ability to cope with and respond to the highs and lows of their educator experiences.

Erinn's initial inspiration for this group began while working for CPS as a social worker. She noticed staff experiencing high levels of compassion and high levels of exhaustion simultaneously, at times she even noticed it within herself. CPS staff are asked daily to show up for their students, but showing up for themselves may not always feel like a priority when the needs of the job can be overwhelming. This group is designed to be a restorative, intentional way for educators to stay grounded and show up for themselves.

Please note we will submit insurance claims for this group, but it is important to us that it remains accessible to everyone. We accept BCBS PPO (which generally has a $26 copay for CPS employees), but for those that have the BCBS HMO we are happy to see you at an equivalent $25 out-of-pocket fee. For anyone that needs a sliding scale fee below $25 please let us know in the contact form below.

Please note, this is a four part series. Participants are not required to attend all four sessions. Schedule is as follows:

Sunday September 8th @ 4pm Sunday October 6th @ 4pm Sunday November 3rd @ 4pm Sunday December 8th @ 4pm
