As a social worker I recognize and hold space for the infinite life transitions that we all experience. It is important to me that our relationship is grounded in collaboration, transparency, authenticity, and empathy. Using a strengths-based approach that centers your experience, I aim to help you bolster the strengths that you already inherently hold.

Furthermore, I work from an ecological approach that builds upon your individual understanding of your own unique network of intersecting dynamics and systems. I come to the therapeutic relationship with recognition of my own privilege and engage in cultural humility to guide my own self-reflection and continual learning in the face of unknowing.

My early experience working in a domestic violence shelter gave me the opportunity to support both adults and youth who experienced violence and trauma. I continued my work with families through community-based case-management, where I partnered with parents to navigate systemic challenges and helped youth navigate new landscapes. During my studies it was important to me to focus on people throughout their lifespan, landing me in my specialization track focused on children and family.

I take an eclectic approach in my work using elements of mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I work with individuals to acknowledge both painful as well as joyful experiences. In my practice I apply a trauma informed lens to give space to the connection between the brain and the body as well as the impact trauma has on the way one moves through the world. It is my hope that I can partner with you to build awareness and utilize that awareness to create balance in the areas of life most significant to you.
