Dr. Robia Robert, PsyD

She/her, robia@logansquaretherapist.com

I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from D’Youville University/Medaille University. Throughout my training, I was introduced to many therapeutic approches, but my clinical work has focused primarily on both traditional cognitive-behavioral approaches, and third-wave models such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

I believe that none of us are immune to the inherent challenges of being human, and that therapy is a space where we walk the path together. My approach is to treat each client as a fellow traveler, creating a collaborative process that encourages open dialogue, honors diverse perspectives, and adapts to the unique needs of the individual. This perspective is one of curiosity, openness, and of continuous learnin. My work prioritizes honest self-reflection, and holds equal regard for all worldviews.

My professional experience spans a variety of settings ranging from community mental health, where I conducted psychological assessments for individuals with diverse needs- to a cancer treatment setting, where I helped both patients and caregivers as they navigated the emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis and the challenges of treatment, including anxiety, depression, body image, and relationship changes. I also have experience in children’s psychiatry, providing diagnostic and treatment services for youth and families experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties, and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, and care teams.

Across all of these settings, I have learned that growth and healing are rarely linear. Each person’s journey is unique, and I feel privileged to support my clients as they move through change, resilience, and self-discovery.
